We have received reports from some of our members that a fake company in [b]Nigeria[/b] named "[b]Overseas Product[/b]" with
an email of ffointernational@hotmail.com tried to purchase parts with a [b]credit card[/b] payment. Please be aware this is a SCAM. There have been lots stories about this kind [b]credit card[/b] SCAM. Sometimes the credit card goes through, but it will turn out to be a stolen credit card, or the address provided is within the USA, but could be a forwarding organization.

Please note these scams have something in common:
a) payment via credit card (a stolen credit card could go through if the legitimate owner doesn't even know it has been compromised)
b) it's a significant order, seems you are selling at very good price
c) they are in a hurry to get the shipment, and they claim have a major international courier (UPS,DHL, FedEX... ) account, as it takes time when the charge shows up on the legitimate credit card owner's statement

Please be extra cautious when you are accepting [b]international credit card [/b]payment.

This is a good warning.. thanks,
But I am concerned that this could be off putting to suppliers, meaning that perhaps they will not now accpet credit card payment (as I have recently experienced), sometimes we need to source parts very quickly
and credit card payment is the best option as the transaction goes through speedily and the customer gets protection on the goods (via the credit card company). Many times order raising is too beaurocratic and time consuming. Market problems need fast action.

It is good to see you are offering advice such as this - but please be careful.

They use these free emails as @usa.net, @yahoo.co.uk, @mailcanada.ca. and provide a false address in US, Europe (UK), or Canada ...

Please note they may use an email with a company domain, but when you type one of these domain names into your web browser address, it will come a blank page of "MSN Personal Address".

I have been contacted AGAIN by a scammer in Nigeria.
This is the same guy who tried to pass 5 credit cards to us for a purchase. All were fake. He is the same guy I was talking about in my other post about "Scammers". I recognized his type in all CAPS and then when I asked if his name was " Lincoln Moses" he said he was his partner.

Just to let everybody know to keep your eyes open- he must be out of jail and back to his tricks.

Take care as he tries through Moneygram and western union by giving false website links and payment codes. He will request to ship first and then claim the money for protection etc.
